I have been concerned about the detention of asylum seekers on Manus Island and Nauru for five years. I am sickened by the unnecessary creation and ongoing implementation by our government of what is a super wicked policy problem. Super wicked policy problems like this take political will and highly skilled leadership to resolve. It is being sold politically and by the popular media (If mentioned at all) as a binary; black and white; tough love only option. It is in fact, like all super wicked policy problems, highly complex. It is often difficult to talk about with others as it has so many dimensions. I highly value this cartoon by First Dog on the Moon which teases out in a truly compelling manner many dimensions of truly disturbing situation. Thank you, First Dog!
